Finally there is a great London Regionals competition worthy of Masters swimming. This year at the London Aquatic Centre, which is such a great pool to compete in, Crystal Palace Masters swimmers truly stepped up. There were four personal bests that cemented the team’s steady improvement under Coach Krys.

Training under Krys has been such a joy and seeing the improvements really exemplifies his ability to improve each swimmer individually. The results speak for themselves and we can see that from the London Regionals.

Perhaps one of the most inspiring progressions has been Laura’s journey over the past couple of years. Laura's improvement has been wonderful to see after her health challenges. The dedication and desire to improve, combined with Krys’ expert guidance, has led to dramatic improvements in technique and speed. Watching her race at Regionals, it was clear just how far she has come and with seconds knocked off previous bests in the 200m and 400m freestyle we might be seeing the emergence of a new swimmer.

It wasn’t just about the times on the clock. It was the enjoyment of swimming together and competing against the best London has to offer, along with the camaraderie, and celebration of every hard-fought achievement. Whether securing a PB, executing a race plan to perfection, or simply supporting teammates from the poolside, the day at the London Aquatic Centre was a reminder of what makes Crystal Palace Masters SC a special club.

Onwards to the next meet—stronger, faster, and more determined than ever!
